D.R.C at risk of Ebola outbreak, traces 161 people

Democratic Republic of Congo authorities confirmed that they’d identified 161 people that had direct contact with the unidentified woman who died last week after contracting with Ebola.

Health minister of Nord Kivu region, Eugene Nzanzu Syalita, said so far they’re yet to identify two people who study confirmed that they contracted with the virus.

The death of the woman last week showed that the country entered phase 12 of Ebola outbreak

DR Congo’s government has had on 18 November announced the end of Ebola outbreak phase 11 in northern part of the country.

At least more than 2277 people have died as a result of Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo since August 2018 to June 2020.
