Eid-el-Maulud: pray for peace and unity – Peace Corps

Muslims In Kano State and Nigeria at large have been urged to offer prayers for peace, unity, and progress of the nation, as the faithfuls across the world celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

In a statement signed by the Kano state Peace Corps Information Officer, Ahmad Abdulkadir, the State Commandant, Amb Abubakar U. Aliyu, urged the Muslims to follow exemplary leadership of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by promoting peaceful co-existence.

He also charged Nigerians to shun all divisive tendencies and work towards building a better nation, saying that the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) should renew the faith and bond of unity, irrespective of diversity.

Aliyu further called upon the Muslims and other religious groups to embark on supplications for a better Nigeria. “It is my hope that this celebration will bring joy to all your homes, here in Kano State, Nigeria, and around the world,” he stated.
