It was a sorry sight to behold in Malali Low Cost this morning as bulldozers raze through the settlement, rendering many families homeless.
The demolition exercise was carried out by men from the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Authority, (KASUPDA) from 10pm to about 3am. The demolition team were accompanied by heavily armed security men.
SAHELIAN TIMES gathered that notice have been served as far back as September last year. While some people have been compensated, others, especially the low income earners of the area were not compensated. All the houses that were carved out were not demolished.
