The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, secretly married his heartrob, Hauwa Adam Abduallahi, popularly known as Hajiyayy, on Friday.
SAHELIAN TIMES gathered that the marriage, which had been postponed several times in the past, finally took place in Darul Hadith Tudun Yola Kano.
According to a source, the event was kept low-key in order to avoid unwarranted attention.
The details of the secret marriage are still sketchy at the time of writing this report, but our source confirmed the emir was out of the state when the marriage took place early today.
The 60-year-old monarch has only had one wife for more than three decades, and they have four children together.
