Kano State Police command has denied the report that the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has been attacked today on his way to the palace.
In an audio sent to SAHELIAN TIMES, the command public relation officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the incident was rather an accident which involved the last car of the Emir’s convoy.
‘’There was nothing like an attack on Emir’s convoy, but an accident involved the last vehicle on the convoy,‘’ Kiyawa said.
According to him the Emir was coming back, along Zaria road, heading to the palace when the incident happened.
He said, “A Toyota Corrolla 2000 had a collision with the last car of the convoy which resulted the incident.”
Kiyawa added that the driver of the Toyota was rushed to the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital, because he sustained series of injuries during the accident.
