Exclusive: Parents of Funtua abducted children cry for help

The parents of two children abducted in Funtua have cried out for help three days after their abduction.

SAHELIAN TIMES, exclusively, gathered that kidnappers stormed Funtua, Katsina State in hundreds on Saturday and abducted a couple of people among which are three children from the same family.

The three children were identified as Noor, 14; Maryam, 12 and Farida were taken after “almost an hour operation” from their parents’ home.

A Source in an interview with our reporter said that, “the Kidnappers arrived on Saturday night and stormed the victims house.

“it took them almost an hour to break into the house, but due to their numbers neighoubors could not repel them.

“They were almost a hundred,” he added

“When they finally got into the house they could only find the children.

“They took Farida, Noor and Maryam with them.

“Farida fell down along the way and they left her there.

“The abductors fled with Maryam and Noor,” he said.

Our reporter gathered that, the abductors have reached out to the parents and asked for yet to be disclosed amount.
