Senator Shehu Sani cried out about the level of insecurity in northern Nigeria. He stated that while praying for the safe release of the Minister of Agriculture’s brother, who was kidnapped over the weekend at their home village in Gabasawa local government, Kano.
Sani further warned that such type of high profile kidnapping paints a clear picture of how insecure northern Nigeria has become for the families and relatives of politicians.
“My prayers for our Minister of Agriculture over the kidnapping of his Brother. It’s unfortunate that nowadays if you are a family member, relation, or friend of Big man you have to be hiding or watching your back.”, Sani tweeted on his verified handle.
Over the past weeks, the rate of kidnapping has increased dramatically across some northern states, particularly Kaduna.
