A yet to identify assailant has killed a father, Malam Nuhu and son, Nasir, in Garko local government area of Kano State.
The father, Malam Nuhu was said to have been beheaded by the assailant, in Tumpapi village, few kilometres away from Garko town, around 2.00 am on Monday.
A relation of the deceased said that it was the noise and desperate call for help that alerted about something suspicious was happening in which turned out to be the murder of the two defenceless members of the family.
’Incidentally, the attack on Malam Nuhu was not the first, as the suspected assailant was at the same house two months ago, threatening to set the residence ablaze completely,’’ Solacebase gathered.
The deceased were laid to rest around 9.00 am also on Monday.
District head, DPO and the vigilante group in the area, have promised to investigate the matter to get at the root of the incident.
When contacted, Kano Police Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna for confirmation, sent a text to Solacebase that he was attending a meeting but would call back.
