State minister of FCT, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has warned traditional rulers that any ruler caught supporting bandits in the country will face serious punishment from authorities.
She made this known during an emergency meeting between security agencies and traditional rulers in Abuja.
Ramatu asked the traditional rulers to always contact other traditional rulers in neighbouring environment in order to get effective leadership saying that constant communication will help government in fighting insecurity in the country.
She also said government will introduce new policy of “you must know your neighbor” adding that it will help to curb the incessant attacks by gunmen.
She further said this will help both the traditional rulers and government officials in identifying new faces in the communities.
