Barely few hours after the intervention of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the raging APC crisis in Kano that saw ex-legislator, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, threatening to leave the party within 24 hours, Gov. Ganduje has directed the party leadership to summon emergency stakeholders meeting and address the interest of the aggrieved.

Tinubu intervened to settle the local political tussle between his campaigner, Abdulmunin Jibrin, and key stakeholders in his Kano State constituency.

SAHELIAN TIMES gathered that Tinubu contacted Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje shortly after Kofa announced his intention to leave the APC.

” Tinubu has already intervened on Jibrin’s behalf with Governor Ganduje and everything will be resolved,” the source said.

“Jibrin is coming to see Asiwaju. Asiwaju has stepped in. Jibrin is having local issues with his constituency and Ganduje. Everything will be sorted,” the source said.

Kofa announced his decision to leave the APC for an undisclosed party on Saturday.

Kofa, the campaign director for the leading presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, represented Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019, before losing a rerun election to the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in 2020.
