Former Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Malami Buwai dies

Dr Malami Buwai, a former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is dead

Dr. Malami who was a Minister of Agriculture during the Administration of Late General Sani Abacha in 1994 died on Monday afternoon at his hometown, Gusau the Zamfara State capital, after a protracted illness.

The late minister is survived by a wife, 15 Children and 10 Grandchildren.

Malami Buwai who was born in the year 1945 has been laid to rest in a cemetery in Gusau after a funeral prayer led by Chief Imam of Gusau Emirate, Liman Dan-Alhaji Sambo and was attended by the Zamfara State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, State Deputy Governor, Mahadi Aliyu, top government officials, religious leaders among others.

Until his death, Malami is a member of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Gusau Chapter and was a large scale farmer.
