I thought we are naturally taught to be nice not only to fellow humans but even to the senseless animals we mingle with in our daily business. Until this very time, I notice that the stupidity and narcissist belief of others among humans won’t allow them to see the true beauty of peace and inhale the rare fragrance of unity.
Well, Nigeria is undoubtedly the indivisible land as many hate to hear today. As we, for number of years, despite all the burning flames we failed to let the hurricane of our social differences divide our country into pieces, so for that, we shall forever be thriving as one and single entity unfailingly. Accept it or reject it, so long as you will live in this beautiful atmospheric jury, then you must welcome the name Nigeria and be ready to be referred to as Nigerian.
Well, of all the effort making by many patriotic toward ensuring peace and unity among Nigerians in Nigeria, there are still some imbeciles who are striving hard to see the failure of our giant country Nigeria. As today In the south, a Fulani is just synonymous to an insect. I openly referred it to insect because its the only animal on earth people often find it thrilling to kill and feel nothing, talkless of anticipating the repercussions of their actions.
Actually, It’s a sad scenario when I reason that those flaunting themselves and parading themselves as the most educated folks to have ever lived in Nigeria are the ones who are committing this callous crime against humanity. They always called themselves all sumptuous name in the name of ” Ethnocentric ” move, they bash all they want unfairly with harsh tone by using adorned grammar just to show they are intellectually superior to others.
Nostalgically, it won’t cease to amaze me that the meaning of education and intellectualism won’t be only manifesting on paper, rather it should henceforth keep exhibiting it worthy and grandeur self in the dashboard of social tolerance, love for peace and unity. And nothing apart from that can aptly defines someone’s level of intellectualism in contemporary time, in a world which people positively metamorphose religiously, culturally, ethnically, socially, economically and above all cognitively.
So, now its apparent, that only in the North, a none indigene or foreigner will successfully thrive in all the spheres of life and yet experience minimal level of intimidation and maltreatment by their government. Despite being certifiably ineffective, they still manage to show the loveable natural gesture of love and peace toward humanity that not even a narcissist white man can afford to show. Virtually, we are proud of being such magnanimous folks who care not to discriminate upon any.
Although, in spite of Northerners being certificate handicapped, they also manage to treat themselves with more decorum and respect at any junction of life. This is when you come to domestic issues, they have such audacity to settle their issues and when a foreigner is involved into a matter, he/she enjoys an unprecedented love from them all in an attempt to make them feel secure. But I don’t mean by saying all these, to say we are saints, its true we have our own shortcomings as humans but despite being humans we treat with love and respect.
Those people you shamelessly see and called as semi-literates, those you called all unprintable names, those you cast all vituperative remarks, innuendos and aspersions upon (Northerners); they excel in almost every angle of life, they know how to interact socially, mingle politically, analyze justifiably and think impartially. Nonetheless, they accumulated degrees, Masters, PhDs and all other academic certificates which others used it as a measure to gauge development or something related to that. If that would make any bloodsucker to respect them, then they deserve such beautiful treatment but if not, then we have nothing to say.
But unfortunately, today their lives out there is considered as nothing worthy of respecting talks less of enjoying the same treatment with their counterparts in their respective domains. The bloodsucker and hate mongering agents are always trying hard to distract the existence of an everlasting peace in the country.
Enough is enough, if we truly mean peace with all that we do in our inter-ethnic affairs which includes; business, politics, games and others, then we should as matter of urgency mind to tackle the issue of tribalism and ethnic bigotry from our side, if not the, the end result would surely be insipid as well as tasteless to our tongues.
All we want from govt is to thoroughly scrutinize and fish out those dimwitted guys who are maiming Fulani and Hausas living in the South and bring them to book. Let them receive the pretty rewards of their murky crimes against humanity, and let them know the feeling which those innocent folks gone through during the black night.
It is pertinent at this juncture to remind you of the great northern personalities, the men who have taught us to be nice. The North is a home to the giant national heroes like the Orator Tafawa Balewa, the brave Ahmadu Bello, the fearless Malam Aminu Kano, the Radical Dr. Yusuf Bala Usman, the versatile Dahiru Yayaya, and many others. And I’m sure, you all know the impact of those souls in making Nigeria what its today. How I wish, you would mind to pay a tribute to their souls by only giving chance to northerners to roam in your region freely, meaning to thrive with devoid of discrimination and intimidation.
May those ethnic fight fire igniters and firce battle triggers never knows no the meaninging of “Peace of mind” in their worldly life books. May they keep taking a toughful and bitter life voyage.
All we crave is peace to reign in all terrains.
