Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, said Fulani people are not terrorists.
Sultan said this in Abuja, during his visit to the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) Headquarter, Abuja.
“I said this so many times that we, Fulani people, are not terrorists but I am sure there are bad eggs amongst us and that doesn’t mean you have the right to call people of particular area or Muslims terrorists,” he said.
He added that “I am proud to be a Fulani and if I know God will resuscitate me after I die, I will pray to Almighty God to bring me back to the world as Fulani,”
He further said “I am proud to be Fulani but I am neither a terrorist nor an armed robber.”
The Sultan also said he hope there will be Hajj exercise this year after COVID-19 marred last year’s exercise and also asked Muslims to abide by the Coronavirus protocols imposed by the government.
