Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s Chief of Staff, Ali Haruna Makoda, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), as the ruling party in Kano faces a defection tsunami.

Makoda, and a member of the House of Representatives. Hon Alhaji Murtala Sule Kore ( Danbatta), paid their allegiance to the NNPP’s leading presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence on Friday.

The Chairman of Danbatta Local Government, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi Kore, and the Party Chairman of Danbatta Local Government, Alhaji Musa Sansan, were among those who accompanied the Chief of Staff during the visit.

Others include Hon. Badamasi Ayuba Danbatta, who represents Makoda Federal Constituency, and Najib Abdulsalam, the party’s youth leader in Kano.

This came shortly after Ahmed Bola Tinubu Campaign Director, Abdulmunini Kofa, declared his support for the newly formed NNPP.
