Ganduje appoints new Shari’a Commission’s chairman

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of the Chief Imam of Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Mosque, Kofar Mata, Sheikh Nasir Muhammad Adam, as the chairman of the Kano State Shari’a Commission.

In a letter signed by The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Usman Alhaji, the appointment begins by 30th April, 2022.

According to the letter the appointment “was made in recognition of qualification, track record of excellent performance, proven integrity and firm commitment towards the development of the state.

” As we move the State to the Next Level of development, it is hoped that your appointment as Executive Chairman would spur you to re-double efforts and contribute greatly to our collective vision of revitalizing the Commission to attain its set-out objectives.

“To realize this cardinal objective, we should, collectively and individually, strive to exhibit and imbibe the attributes of honesty, transparency, probity and accountability for greater accomplishments,”  the letter reads.
