Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the state business community have donated the sum of N20m to the traders affected by the fire that razed Katsina Central market last month.

The Governor was in Katsina on Tuesday together with the leadership of Kano business community to sympathise with the government and people of Katsina State over the unfortunate fire incident that destroyed goods and properties worth billions of naira.

Ganduje said “We are here with the business community who are concerned, worried and have suffered the same fire tragedy in Sabon Gari market in Kano, to console you, and the people of the state over the sad fire incident that gutted the market last month,”

In his address, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State thanked Ganduje and Kano businessmen for the donation.

Recall that, last month, the All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwart, Alhaji Bola Ahmad Tinubu donated 50 million to the victims of the inferno.
