A Federal High court sitting in Abuja on Thursday truck out two motions filed by the Ganduje-led faction.

The presiding judge, Justice Hamza Muazu, denied the application following a court order nullifying the All Progressives Congress ward and local government congresses held in the state by the Ganduje-led faction that produced Abdullahi Abbas as Chairman.

The Ganduje-led faction, dissatisfied with the court’s decision, filed a motion asking the court to halt proceedings and reverse its decision on the ward congress.

The judge, however, dismissed their motion and fined them N1 million for filing frivolous and time-wasting motions.

The court also ruled that the Senator Shekarau faction’s local government congress is still valid and that they have the right to elect the state executive.
