Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has directed that all political appointees running for elective offices in the upcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their positions.
The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Abbar Anwar, directed that “They are given between now to Monday 18th April, 2022, to resign.”
The statement said that the directive is to comply with Section 84 (12) of the newly amended Electoral Act.
