Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has recalled two of his aides sacked for taking a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari.

Barely 6 months after Ganduje fired his commissioner of works, Engr Muazu Magaji, for celebrating the death of late Abba Kyari, the governor has appointed him to be the state focal person in one of President Buhari’s biggest infrastructure projects in the country.

The fresh appointment also came on the heels of reinstatement of Salihu Tanko Yakasai, Ganduje’s media aide, who at the height of EndSARS protests openly criticized the President for what he described as lacking empathy.

Magaji was dismissed on April 18, 2020 for writing series of Facebook posts expressing his joy over the death of the President’s former Chief of Staff, late Kyari, on his Facebook page.

Yakasai, was, however, suspended on 11 October 2020 for writing what the government seen as unguarded utterances on the person of President Buhari on his Twitter handle.

The two non remorseful aides were both recalled on Wednesday, despite that Magaji has not ceased his anti-Buhari postings on his Facebook page.

Muazu would serve as the dual Chairman of the NNPC’s AKK pipeline project delivery as well as Kano State Industrialisation Committee, according to him.
