It has been confirmed that Salihu Tanko Yakasai, Media aide to the Kano State Governor, 14 hours after he was declared missing by his family and friends.
In a tweet gone viral, it read:
“Family, friends & colleagues have been unable to locate @dawisu for at least 14hrs now, both lines of his have been unavailable since he left his home at about 4 pm yesterday. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts please let us know! This is URGENT! Thank you”
Few minutes ago, a tweet by a Twitter user said:
“Alhamdulillahi we just confirmed @dawisu is at DSS office”.
– Sadiq Henry, official Kano state website and Twitter handler.
The DSS pickup might not be unrelated to the Twitter tirade the governor’s spokesman went on Friday, berating the federal government on the rising kidnappings and insecurity in the country, following the abduction of over 300 girls in Zamfara.
Tanko Yakasai has been criticizing the Buhari-led administration which led to his suspension last year over his comments on ENDSARS protests but was later reinstated.
Yakasai said the worsening insecurity situation in the country showed that the APC-led government has failed in its primary responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens.
