Kano State Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Muhammad Tahar Adamu, popularly known as Baba Impossible, has chided Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for paying a reconciliation visit to lobby the estranged Kano deputy gubernatorial aspirant, Murtala Sule Garo.
Garo is the All Progressive Congress (APC) anointed deputy governor candidate on a ticket with Nasiru Gawuna.
In an interview with the press, Adamu noted that it is inappropriate for Ganduje to visit Garo, who is only a Commissioner appointed by him.
“He did not deserve an apology from Ganduje. The Governor is like a father to him. He should have summoned him rather than visiting him,” he said.
He claimed that the Garo is inconsequential to be given such degree of attention.
Frustrated by peace parley between Ganduje and Senator Barau Jibrin, the APC’s deputy gubernatorial candidate is said to be considering leaving the party.
Ganduje reportedly visited Garo’s home on Thursday to persuade him to stay in the APC.
