A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Bashir Gentile has challenged Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to take the ousted chairman of state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado to court over corruption allegations.
Gentile in an interview with Journalists in Kano said that the allegations painted by the suspended chairman are more hazardous than dollar videos that show the governor collecting dollars from contractors allegedly as bribes.
“These allegations are more severe than dollar videos, the petition in EFCC and Gama inconclusive election,” he noted.
He added that silence from Ganduje on the grave allegations can be tantamount to acceptance.
Rimingado, has earlier in an interview with Freedom Radio Kano claimed that the state anti-graft commission stopped getting foreign grants since Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was shown in a video pocketing dollars alleged to be a bribe from a contractor handling projects in the state.
In the interview, he said that, “I think this is the right time to set the record straight, the dollar video has attracted the ire of foreign donors and has seriously undermined the achievements we recorded as the only committed state anti-corruption outfit in Nigeria.”
“Even our inter-agency relations and interactions with other non-state actors had suffered a great setback,” he said.
He also accused Governor Ganduje of recently appointing a Special Adviser who was once prosecuted by a court on the charges of forging University’s certificate.
“We arrested and charged him to court on account of forgery, we traced the businessman that printed the certificate in Sabon Gari Kano, and then seized the said documents. “

The ousted chairman also alleged that he has information on how the administration withdrawing N700 million from the state’s public account in cash and then later deposit it in a personal account in Wudil, a Local Government Area of the State.
“I received privileged information that some individuals close to the government has withdrawn N700 million and deposited them in a bank in Wudil and I know those behind it,” he said.
In another allegation, Muhuyi, said that his investigation has shown that the revenue generated in the state is also being diverted by individuals closer to the Ganduje administration.
He noted that, he knows too much about the Ganduje administration and will reveal that he knows when the time is right.
