In an attempt to further consolidate the good governance posture of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration in Kano state, the governor signs into law Kano State Audit Law, 2020, which would be followed by Audit Commission at a later time.
He made the historic outing today Wednesday, during the State Executive Council meeting, that was held at Africa House, Government House, Kano, when he assured that his administration would strengthen transparency and accountability in running the affairs of the state.
With the newly signed law, the state could now go to places, at global arena, without any hindrance and engage in one transaction or the other. While at the same time means total conformity with global best practice.
“For the promotion of good governance in our administration, we found it extremely necessary to reach this level of committed effort for the overall development of our state, and the nation in general,” he said.
Governor Ganduje assured that “To further have institutional strengthening, we are going to establish Audit Commission. With this, we will go a long way in consolidating all feats that were achieved.”
