The presidential candidate for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the February 2019 general election Professor Kingsley Mogahalu has commended Katsina State Gov Aminu Masari for admiiting his mistakes in negotiating with terrorists a.k.a.”bandits”.
The Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria discoled this in a statement on Wednesday.
Moghalu said that “for too long, President Muhammadu Buhari has undermined Nigeria’s security that he swore an oath to protect under the constitution with his sentimental attachment to open grazing that simply doesn’t belong in the 21st century and facilitates violent land grabs by terrorist herdsmen, essentially invaders from neighboring foreign countries whose entry has been facilitated by what to all practical intent and purpose is an “open border” policy.
He said that the road to protecting our lives in Nigeria begins with the right mindset in our authorities. Thank God for Gov. Masari’s belated realizations.
“But thousands of lives have been lost by the incompetent and misguided approach of Nigeria’s political leaders to the existential threat of terrorism, which has ravaged Northern Nigeria most of all. May the President of Nigeria go to sleep and wake up with a new vision!” he said.
