Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of Nasarawa State, CSP Haruna Abdulmalik while on patrol
The kidnappers have reportedly contacted his family, demanding an N5m ransom.
The DPO was picked up along Nasarawa Eggon – Akwanga Road on Wednesday night.
While confirming the report, Deputy Chairman of the Local government area, Eng. Benjamin Kuze said the CSP was kidnapped at about 9pm in the area in Bakono road.
He added that attempts to contact the DPO have not been successful since the incident.
