Gunmen have killed Kogi State Pension Board Commissioner, Solomon Akeweje on Saturday evening while returning from Ilorin to Kabba.
Report says his vehicle was said to have been shot at Eruku, some kilometers to Egbe and he died after being hit by bullets.
In another development, the whereabouts of the Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Pius Kolawole, who was with Akeweje when the incident happened is yet to be known.
The Kogi State commissioner of police, Ayuba Ede, said the incident took place at Eruku general area of Kwara State.
He further said an investigation is in progress to fish out the culprits.
