Suspected gunmen have, in the wee hours of today, razed the Ubani Market Police station in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

Reports say no life was lost during the attack as police personell had moved from the place to nearby Trade Moore housing Estate days before the incident.

This is the latest attack on a police station since the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the armed wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), launched its campaign of violence earlier in the year.

Lives of many security operatives in Abia State have been cut short in the line of duty as a result of series of attacks by gunmen
