A popular restaurant in Kano, Gusto has denied a trending story on one Abdul, who allegedly fled the restaurant during a date.
The Social Media has recently been awash with controversy surrounding the story of Abdul, who was said to have fled when his girlfriend and her friends ordered over N223,000 (equivalent to approximately $550 USD) worth of food.
However, the restaurant on Wednesday denied the story and dismissed as mere gossip.
A top management official who spoke to Sahelian Times in confidence denied knowledge of such happening that would’ve warranted Police involvement.
Adding, the official said the restaurant has never recorded an instance where customers failed to settle their bills and the police had to be involved.
“We are all seeing the story on the Social Media like you, and I can assure you that nothing of such nature has ever happened here, Gusto has never had such dispute,” he said.
