House Majority Leader arraigned  over murder of NNPP party supporters

Kano State Police Command has  arraigned  the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives who is also the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency over alleged murder of about 15 opposition supporters in Tudunwada Local Government during the just concluded election.

SAHELIAN TIMES reported that some  helpless people were locked in a building and burned to ashes, a situation that made it impossible for them to be rescued. Several others were shot and injured by Doguwa in his quest to win the election.

Videos sighted by SAHELIAN TIMES showed charred bodies being evacuated from the NNPP Tudunwada office. In one of the videos.

According to the police command  the State Criminal  Investigation Department ( SCID) had earlier extended a formal invitation to Honorable Alhassan Ado Garba Doguwa, a member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency for his alleged complicity in the incident.

“Sequel to his refusal to honour the invitation, the Command was left with no other option than to activate a motion that would lead to his arrest. He was subsequently arrested by detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Bompai Kano at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano.”

” Investigation is ongoing, the suspects arrested will soon be charged to court for prosecution, and the effort to get others at large is being intensified,” the statement reads.
