Kaduna State Government has confirmed the death of 32 people in a fresh bandits attack.
The affected communities are Dogon Noma, Ungwan Sarki, and Ungwan Maikori in the state’s Kajuru Local Government Area.
According to a statement signed by Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the bandits stormed the area on motorcycles and proceeded to raze several houses while attacking and killing locals.
” Since the attack on Sunday, security agencies and traditional leaders in the locations have been updating the government on the development.
” As of the time of this report, 32 persons have been confirmed dead following the attack,” he said.
However, the KDSG debunks reports of aerial attacks by terrorists.
“The story that a helicopter provided air support to the bandits against the locals, is therefore an untrue account,” the statement said.
