A father in Katsina State said he was forced to remove and sell off his house’s roofs in order to pay a ransom for his kidnapped son.

In a video obtained by SAHELIAN TIMES, a man identified as Mallam Saidu Faskari, stated that the bandits have demanded a ransom of N100,000 or they would murder his son.

“My son was kidnapped after going into the forest to pay my ransom.”

“I was kidnapped and held captive for 13 days before they released me after the ransom was paid,” he explained.

“I’ve sold everything I own, and I don’t even have enough food to eat,” the father lamented.

The son was kidnapped on Wednesday in Katsina State’s Faskari Local Government.
