The suspended Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado, has accused the commission’s operatives stripping him naked inside his home.

SAHELIAN TIMES reported how Muhuyi, the erstwhile Chairman of the anti graft agency  shunned the invitation of the commission over allegations of land racketeering, reported by Mr. Isa Bayero, popularly known as Isa Pilot.

The operatives of the anti-graft agency reportedly invaded the residence of the suspended chairman in a tinted blue Honda car with registration number Lagos (MUS- 402AT) in the Sharada Area of the metropolis around 6.30 pm.

The suspended chairman on Wednesday claimed that the operatives were in his residence to arrest him.

A source close to the Magaji said, one of the anti-corruption operatives tore the suspended chairman’s clothes while dragging him.

The former antigraft boss was reportedly saved by his neighbours.

Magaji described the raid as an attempted kidnapping because according to him the said anti-graft operative lacked identification.

‘’There is even an existing court order that restrained the commission from arresting me,’’ Muhuyi said.

However, while confirming the incident, the acting chairman of the PCACC, Mahmud Balarabe, stated that the commission operatives were on a surveillance mission not to arrest Muhuyi as he claimed.

Balarabe denied the allegation of assaulting Muhuyi Magaji, stating that, to the best of his knowledge, no such situation existed.

“The operatives were at his residence, and after introducing himself as a police officer, Muhuyi told him to leave his premises and threatened to shoot the operative.

“Muhuyi then shot the tyres of the police officer’s car,” Balarabe said.
