The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar,
has said that he will continue to run for president of Nigeria until he is elected.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the PDP presidential candidate asserted that he will pursue his dream as long as he is alive and healthy.
“It is a life-long ambition and as long as I’m alive and strong and healthy, I will continue pursuing it,” Atiku said.
Abubakar is one of the top candidates vying for the 2023 presidential election.
The former Vice President has been vying for the presidency since 1992, when he stepped down to make way for MKO Abiola.
President Muhammadu Buhari defeated him in the last presidential election to retain power.
However, mixed feelings have continued to surround Atiku’s presidential bid in 2023, with some believing he has no chance and others believing he is better positioned to win.
