Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello said he will not in anyway negotiate with bandits that are terrorizing the state.
Governor Sani Bello said this while briefing the journalists after his meeting with President Muhammad Buhari in state house, Abuja, on the current insecurity ravaging the state and lack basic needs to his people.
The governor said he has stopped any chance of negotiations with the bandits because they’re not respecting the agreement.
He said sometimes ago, he had negotiated with them and they agreed the conditions but later they reneged on their words.
Bello said recently Niger state is experiencing influx of bandits that are entering the state from Benin Republic saying that they are all Fulani who don’t have listening ears saying that bandits are the main problem in the state now.
He revealed that his government have arrested some traditional rulers for their connections with bandits to terrorize the state.
