The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared the House of Representatives Election for Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency as inconclusive.

The Returning Officer for the Election, Prof Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai declared this on Wednesday following the review of the election result, which earlier declared Alhassan Ado Doguwa of the APC as winner, under duress.

Yakasai, explained that a total number of 13 polling units were canceled due to violence, thus the number of PVCs collected in the 13 PUs is greater than the margin between Doguwa and his closest rival, Yushau Muhammad of the NNPP.

He added that a new date will be announced by the Commission for the conduct of a new exercise in the affected units.

More details shortly…
