Kano State Government has announced shutting down of 10 boarding schools in the outskirts of the metropolis.
This is coming hours after suspected gunmen had kidnapped more than 300 schoolgirls in a government girls secondary school at Jangebe, Zamfara State.
It will be recalled that earlier this month, kidnappers had abducted 42 students and staff of Government Secondary School Kagara in Niger State, who are yet to be released from captivity.
