Barely few hours after Jigawa and other states in northwestern Nigeria have shut down all schools, Kano state Government has joined them by ordering all schools to be closed down immediately.
The instruction was given by the Commissioner of Education, Alh Sanusi Kiru.
Although no reason was offered for this drastic action, Sahelian Times has reliably gathered that there is a red alert from the nation’s security operatives about an impending security threat.

Boko Haram had stormed Kankara town of Katsina state and abducted hundreds of boarding students, who are yet to be rescued.
