The 12 police officers kidnapped along Kankara – Sheme road in Katsina state about two weeks ago have regained freedom, according to security sources.
It was gathered that the freed policemen were brought to a hospital in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, for a medical check-up.
SahelianTimes learned that the officers were taken to a hospital in Gusau, Zamfara state capital, for medical check-up shortly after they regained their freedom.
The officers were Kidnapped on their way to Zamfara state for a special assignment.
It has not been confirmed whether the N100 million ransom was paid to the abductors before the officers are released.
