JUST IN: Abducted Kagara students, others rescued

About 27 of the students and 12 other persons were rescued from the hands of their abductors yesterday.

This was confirmed by a source in the Niger state government house.

”The Kagara schoolboys have been released. They are on their way to town now,” the source said.
All the boys and the family members were released.”

The release of the Kagara students comes a day after 317 schoolgirls were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara state.

There has been rising cases of insecurity in the North western part of the country especially Kaduna, Zamfara and Katsina states.

The President Muhammad Buhari has promised to decisively dealt with bandits and said his government will not offer amnesty to them.
