The All Progressives Congress (APC) is considering punitive measures against its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his utterances against President Muhammadu Buhari in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of APC, indicated the party may punish the presidential hopeful over what it views as negative utterances about Buhari

Briefing newsmen at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, Senator Adamu said, “We may punish him for his utterances against the President.”

At a meeting in Abeokuta on Wednesday, Bola Ahmed Tinubu told delegates that Buhari wouldn’t have been president if he had not supported him.

Speaking in Yoruba, Tinubu said Buhari lost election three times after which, while weeping on national television, vowed not to contest again.

The possibility of APC settling for a concensus candidate may have pushed Tinubu to make these remarks.

Meanwhile, Buhari is expected to hold a meeting presidential aspirants later today.
