A group of gunmen has burned down a village called Ruwan Tofa in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state, and abducted almost 60 people, consisting mostly women and children.
During the operation, the gunmen carted away with the money belonging to the villagers, and shot one person who is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
This is coming two days after the state government negotiated freedom of more than 200 schoolgirls abducted at Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe.
