Bandits have released 11 passengers kidnapped on the Abuja-Kaduna train.
Malam Tukur Mamu, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi’s communications consultant, confirmed that the passengers were released on Saturday.
He noted that the 11 victims were taken to Abuja for medical evaluation and treatment before the decision was made to reunite them with their grieving relatives.
Some retired Army Generals and a well-known academic, he claims, also assisted in the passengers’ release.
