The Central Bank of Nigeria has just added sugar and wheat into restricted items that would not be provided with the official rate of Naira at the Apex bank. This will increase the cost of wheat and sugar significantly in the country.
The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele said, “Sugar and Wheat to go into our FX restriction list. We must work together to produce these items in Nigeria rather than import them.”
