Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad has resigned his position.
According to sources, Muhammad is resigning for health reasons.
The CJN has been facing a crisis in the judiciary after justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria earlier this month, called him out over poor conditions of service in the judiciary and the welfare of its members.
But responding in a statement, which Ahuraka Yusuf Isah, his media aide, issued on his behalf, the nation’s number five citizen said he had managed the resources at the disposal of the apex court effectively.
