Department of Security Service (DSS) have arrested one Wada Dakata, for allegedly kidnapping the mother of his childhood friend, Abdussalam Abdulkarim AA Zaura.
Confirming the news, an aide to the politician, Ibrahim Muhammad Abdullahi, told SAHELIAN TIMES that Dakata was a childhood friend of his boss.
“Whenever honourable is in Kano, Dakata will come and visit us, and sometimes we will visit their residence that AA Zaura has given them,” he said.
Abdullahi stated that he witnessed numerous scenarios in which Zaura prevented his security details from blocking Dakata from seeing him.
A source in the DSS has also confirmed the arrest of the suspect to this reporter.
SAHELIAN TIMES reported that the mother of Kano Central Senatorial candidate on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) was abducted in Kano by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday.
The aged mother of the candidate was on Tuesday rescued in far away Jigawa State on Tuesday by DSS’ officers
