Just in: Ganduje appoints acting Chairman Kano State Anti-Corruption Commission

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe, currently the Director for Public Prosecution of the state’s Ministry of Justice, as acting Executive Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State, Abba Anwar.

According to Anwar the appointment is with immediate effect.
The governor directed the acting Executive Chairman to discharge his duties diligently, according to the laid down procedures establishing the Commission.

Mahmoud worked as the Director Anti Corruption of the Commission before he was later promoted to the ministry of Justice.
