The House of Representatives has passed the much-awaited Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) into law.
The passage followed the consideration and adoption of the report by its joint committee on PIB.
The Committee of the Whole of the House had considered the clauses of the bill as recommended by the Committee on PIB before its passage during Thursday sitting.
Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila in his remark described the passage of the bill as historic and thanked lawmakers for the achievement.
