The Kano State House of Assembly has approved Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s request to access N10 billion domestic loans to fund a security project.

Ganduje had requested the loan to procure a CCTV Camera System, aimed at curbing insecurity in the state.

The approval followed a letter the Governor sent to the Assembly which the Speaker, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari read to the floor, on Wednesday.

In the letter, Governor Ganduje added that the CCTV system will be installed in the face of increased security threats the state is recently facing.

Freedom Radio reports that members of the House approved the request after deliberations and subsequent consent of the request
