Kano State Government has charged Mubarak Bala, a Kaduna State-based atheist, on 18 counts charges including breach of public peace.
Bala, who is the president of the Humanist Association of Nigeria, was arrested at his home in Kaduna State on April 28, 2020, for using his Facebook account to post a messages considered to be blasphemous to the Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
SAHELIAN TIMES gathered Bala first appeared in court on February 1 2022 after his arrest last year.
