Just in: President Buhari confirms Mohammed Bello-Koko as MD NPA

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment Mohammed Bello-Koko as the substantive Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

The news of his appointment was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Director, Press & Public Relations Federal Ministry of Transportation, Eric Ojiekwe on Tuesday.

Koko was appointed as the acting Managing Director of NPA in May 2021, after the former Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman was suspended for “insubordination.”

Before his appointment, Koko was the Executive Director for Finance and Administration of the NPA.

The former NPA Boss Hadiza Bala Usman was reportedly suspended in May for various infractions, including failure to remit surpluses to the Consolidated Revenue Fund.
